Not a wordless wednesday

Today....today is not my normal wordless Wednesday. Usually I'd try to grace my blog with a cute picture of little b or t or both....but not today.

Today....I started it all off in the worst way. I'm not one that typically lets one incident effect my whole day. I try to bounce back and find the positive so that my day is not ruined by the one thing that set out to make my day horrible....but not today.

Today....Even as I'm writing this, I'm replaying the "incident" over and over in my head. It sends chills down my spine and I can't seem to think of anything else. I normally would distract myself with exciting things, like my car pooler's new car....but not today.

Today....I gave into fear and it has thus far snowballed into a terrible day. Not today...

This morning at approximately 5:10AM, I was held captive in my bathroom. A hostage situation like no other. All while my dear husband, darling daughter and handsome son were sound asleep in their beds. I tried to defend myself. I gathered up enough courage to find a weapon and take out the very thing that was freezing me in the corner. Every ounce of me wanted to curl up in the fetal position and cry for my Mom....but I knew she wouldn't hear me. I posted on facebook, hoping someone would come to my rescue...but nothing.

I was alone.

Worried for the safety of the rest of my family I rose up, moved the bath rug, wadded up several yards of toilet paper and beat that spider down to the ground. My master skills were not enough for this huge monster - he was after all the size of a .... dime (insert scary music here) - and he escaped under the door. I quickly took my shower, got dressed, dried my hair and applied my make-up all while I was staring down the bottom of that door. With a bottle of hairspray and my super ionic blow dryer I whipped open the door.

He was gone.

I'm sure he went to rally up some friends to come back and finish me off. So I ran quickly to get my shoes on...the real weapon that could withstand his attack. I snuggled up my daughter and placed her on a chair so he wouldn't see her. Then I swooped in and put my son in his car seat and out the door I went.

I know he'll be waiting for me when I get home from work. I will sneak in and flip on all lights before he has a chance to run. Because....

Today...dear spider, is not the day to mess with a mama and her babies....not today.....

NOT TODAY!!!!
